Virtual Care
With the onset of the global pandemic, Personal Care Physio and Osteopathy had to pivot our business quickly to ensure continued service to our patients. With our new, secure JANE software we are now able to offer one-on-one appointments with you from the comfort of your own home. Whether you’re social distancing or are not able to visit our clinic in person because of weather, distance, little ones, or any other reason, we now offer many of our services virtually.
There will always be circumstances where an in-person visit is required. However, research shows that virtual visits can address and treat many of your needs to the same high level of care as an in-person session.
Common treatments available through Virtual Care include:
- self-mobilization
- education
- exercise retraining
- active exercise
- review and progression of home exercise programs
- movement retraining.
What services can I receive via Virtual Care?
- Physiotherapy (strains, sprains, pain, movement dysfunction)
- Pelvic health
- Stroke rehab/MS/Parkinsons (neuro rehab)
- Exercise education and program creation
- Pre-/post-op hips and knees
- Concussion rehab
- Postural drainage and breathing techniques for various lung and respiratory conditions
- Exercises to down regulate a sensitized nervous system
- Exercises to treat vertigo and/or dizziness

- Book your initial consultation online, by emailing, or by phoning the clinic at 902-275-5086.
* Please note your credit card information will be collected at time of booking to secure your appointment but will not be charged until after your assessment. - Complete your intake forms. They will be emailed to you as soon as you book your appointment. Please take the time to complete these prior to your appointment.

- When your therapist is ready, they will welcome you from the waiting room with a live video connection into your private and secure one-on-one appointment. To ensure you have a great appointment please arrange the following:
- Have your camera set up in a location that allows you to move around and still be seen.
- Ensure you can clearly hear the audio from your device and that your therapist will be able to clearly hear you. You may want to consider using earbuds with a microphone for better sound quality (not necessary).
- Have a private space free of distraction so you can focus on your appointment.
- Following your appointment your therapist will summarize the goals and treatment plan you agree on, assist you with booking your follow-up sessions, and send you your homework.
