Peter Ferguson is a podiatrist with over 30 years of clinical expertise. Prior to moving permanently to the Chester area in 2021, Peter was a founding partner in a large and thriving, multidisciplinary health care team in Peterborough, Ontario, providing a full scope of podiatric services enabling patients/clients to receive high quality care for all of their foot and gait (walking/running) needs.

At Personal Care Physio and Osteopathy, Peter will be exclusively providing care for patients/clients with musculo-skeletal foot and lower limb problems.

Peter specializes in identifying and treating complex gait problems while developing unique and workable solutions to these problems. Peter focuses on treating the underlying problems related to patients’ feet and lower pain and dysfunction. This involves an in-depth clinical assessment and relevant history in order to develop an effective management plan. It is not unusual for patients having undiagnosed pain and dysfunction for many years to achieve resolution of such problems, allowing patients to resume a full and active life.

Peter utilizes a wide range of protocols including diagnostic tools/imaging, gait analysis software while utilizing treatment protocols including various manual therapies, exercise management and bespoke, custom prescribed foot orthotics. Patient appropriate footwear is fundamental to good lower limb function and is instrumental as part of any management plan.

Some of the more common problems managed include heel and arch pain, bunion, ankle injuries, Morton’s neuroma as well as knee and lower limb pain and dysfunction relating to walking and other physical activities.
