Pelvic Health
Personal Care Physio and Osteopathy is focused on pelvic health concerns for all genders. Even though the pelvic area is closely tied to women’s health—pre and postnatal care, and pregnancy-related issues such as pelvic pain, uterine prolapse, and incontinence—all genders can experience pelvic pain and urinary incontinence.
Our Pelvic Health practitioners:
Therapists at Personal Care Physio and Osteopathy are trained in pelvic floor evaluation and treatment. With their advanced training in pelvic health physiotherapy, our therapists can help prepare your body for a successful delivery and address associated pain such as sciatica, hip discomfort, and rib irritation along the way. After giving birth, our therapists can address postpartum urinary urgency, incontinence, pain, and other pelvic floor dysfunction.
One in four women and one in nine men are affected by urinary incontinence. There is more to pelvic health than kegel exercises alone and our therapists can help with a non-invasive treatment plan to restore pelvic floor health.
